Class of 2023, do you need information for the upcoming year? Well, this section of the Rams Horn Magazine is where you can find several high school senior and community activities. These include deadlines for class dues, scholarship/volunteer opportunities, seasonal employment, and much more.

Deadline for Dues:

  • Friday 2/3/2023

*Randallstown High Students Only* The final day to pay for the senior class due package at the regular price ($230). The package includes a class t-shirt, one senior prom ticket, and one senior day cookout ticket.

Scholarship Deadlines:

  • Friday 4/7/2023

The Orpheus Lodge #553 Scholarship is presented by Le Droit Humain. You must have a minimum GPA of 2.5, a completed quiz on freemasonry (at least 80% correct), be currently enrolled in a Baltimore County, Baltimore City, or surrounding high school, and plan to attend college (no specific major) during the year 2023-2024. The award amount is $500 for one year.

The deadline for the Ron Brown Scholars Program Scholarship. This is currently open to Black/African American seniors who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents. The scholarship will ask for multiple items including two (approximately) five-hundred-word essays, two letters of recommendations (at least one by a teacher or another academic resource), transcripts, proof of parents/guardians’ financial income, and various other forms. However, the award amount is $10,000 a year to any four-year U.S.-accredited college or university.

The deadline for Kevin Kamenetz Scholarship (and other Central Scholarships). These scholarships are for graduating students from Baltimore County Public Schools with a competitive GPA (2.8 or higher), are planning to attend a community college, college, or university the following year, and are a Maryland resident and U.S. citizen. The award amount is $11,000 for one year.

Volunteer/Service Hour Opportunities:

  • *Randallstown High School Students Only* See the guidance office for essay prompts for service-learning hours. These essays must be typed and fully two pages long.

Seasonal Job Employment:

  • *Randallstown High School Students Only* Auntie Anne’s Pretzels-Food Truck needs employees that will prepare, bake, and serve food, greet customers, and conduct point-of-sale transactions. This is a non-sedentary job as the truck serves the community at high school games, youth events/sports, and various other activities. All applicants must be in good academic standing to apply. Please see Mrs. Etheridge in room 224 for further information and pre-screening details.

  • Southwest Airlines are looking for workers for full-time and summer employment. All positions are face paced working environments.
  • One position is ramp agent where you would work outside loading cargo/bags onto planes and directing airplanes in and out of the gate.
  • Customer service agents are also needed to provide good customer service to all customers. This includes issuing tickets, checking any bags at the Ticket Counter, aiding customers at the pre-flight gate, and working at the Baggage Service Office.
  • Finally, operations agents are needed to manage, weigh, and balance aircrafts, and act as ground security coordinators (see the website provided below for more details), and oversee the passengers boarding.
